MacCallum’s Boathouse sponsors Lend a Helping Can


For the past 75 years, the community has supported our business and enabled us to grow and thrive in New Hampshire. As a way to say “thank you,” MacCallum’s chooses to give back to our local organizations. This year, we’re honored to sponsor Lend a Helping Can, a fundraiser for a dozen agencies dedicated to feeding the needy and homeless in New Hampshire and Vermont.




Throughout the next few months, a series of events will be dedicated to the cause, from a two-day radio auction to the release of a special fall brew from Northwoods Brewing Co. Looking to get involved? We have all the details for you to participate in this incredible fundraiser.


The beneficiaries

Lend a Helping Can is an annual fundraiser for local organizations that help feed the needy and homeless. These agencies include:

1. Community Partners 

 2. Cross Roads House

 3. My Friend’s Place

 4. Community Action Partnership of Stafford County

 5. Rockingham Community Action

 6. Vermont Food bank

 7. Salvation Army (Portsmouth)

 8. New Hampshire Food Bank

 9. Families in Transition

10. Salvation Army (Manchester)

11. David’s House

12. Got Lunch Programs in Inter-Lakes (Meredith, Sandwich, Center Harbor), Sanbornton, Campton and Thornton, and Ashland and Holderness


Can release: Autumn Buzz Copper Ale

On  Wednesday, August 28th  MacCallum’s was  part of “Brew Day” with Northwoods Brewing Co. to craft a special fall beer called Autumn Buzz Copper Ale. We’ll also participate in the canning process in September, and there will be a release party at the end of the month following the MacCallum‘s Boat Show.

 Tip: when you get your first can, take a closer look – you might just see our logo on the label!


Radio auction

The fundraiser’s flagship event, a two-day radio auction on Rock 101’s Greg & The Morning Buzz, will be held Thursday, November 21-Friday, November 22. The auction runs for 13.5 hours each day and features incentives for donating, one-of-a-kind auction items and live performances by celebrity guests.

  • Monday, September 30: Autumn Buzz Copper Ale hits the shelves at our local craft beer stores!
